Sizzling Garlic Butter Steak with Crispy Potatoes in a Skillet
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
4 medium-sized potatoes, diced into small cubes
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the diced potatoes in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden and crispy. Remove the potatoes from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides, then place them in the skillet. Cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.
Add the minced garlic, fresh rosemary, and thyme to the skillet with the steaks. Let the butter melt and become fragrant, basting the steaks with the garlic butter for an extra burst of flavor.
Once the steaks are cooked to your preference, remove them from the skillet and set aside to rest.
Return the crispy potatoes to the skillet and toss them in the garlic butter and herbs left behind in the pan. Let them cook for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring they’re coated in the flavorful butter.
Slice the steak against the grain and serve it alongside the garlic butter potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
