Sizzling Chinese Beef

Ingredients:

1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp sesame oil
Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

In a bowl, combine thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add marinated beef and stir-fry until browned and just cooked through, about 2-3 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed, then add bell peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until vegetables are just tender.
Return the beef to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, red pepper flakes if using, and sesame oil. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
