Shrimp and Cream Cheese Wonton
Ingredients:
8 oz raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, finely chopped
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp sesame oil
20 wonton wrappers
Water (for sealing wrappers)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, cream cheese, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix until well blended.
Place about 1 tsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold diagonally to form a triangle, and press to seal. Optionally, fold the corners for a traditional wonton shape.
Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
Fry wontons in batches for 2–3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with sweet chili sauce or soy dipping sauce.
