Philly Cheesesteak Cheesy Brea
Ingredients
1 loaf of Italian bread
1 cup cooked steak, thinly sliced
1 cup bell peppers, diced
1 cup onion, diced
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Garlic powder (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s nice and hot when you’re ready to bake.
2. Grab a skillet and warm up the olive oil over medium heat. Toss in the diced onions and bell peppers, and sauté them until they’re softened and starting to smell delicious.
3. Add the cooked steak right into the skillet. Sprinkle in some salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder if you’re using it. Stir everything together so the steak gets cozy with the veggies, and heat through.
4. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and arrange both halves on a baking sheet.
5. Evenly spoon that steak and veggie mixture right onto each half of the bread, making sure every bite will be flavorful.
6. Generously top each half with shredded mozzarella cheese—don’t be shy with it!
7. Pop the bread into the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully bubbly and golden on top.
8. Once done, take the bread out of the oven. Let it cool just a bit, then slice it up and serve while it’s still warm and melty. Enjoy!
