Our favorite marinade for chicken – hands down!

Ingredients:

½ cup olive oil
⅓ cup soy sauce
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

Direction:

In a medium bowl or a large resealable plastic bag, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar until well combined.

Add in the minced garlic, dried basil, oregano, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix again to blend the flavors.

Place the chicken pieces into the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

When ready to cook, remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess. Grill, bake, or pan-sear the chicken until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Serve hot, paired with rice, salad, or roasted vegetables. This marinade adds a perfect balance of savory, tangy, and sweet flavors to your chicken.
