Juicy Chicken Breast Stuffed with Crispy Bacon and Melty Cheese
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs total)
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup (8 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup (2 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2️⃣ Prepare the Chicken: Using a sharp knife, make a pocket in each chicken breast by slicing horizontally, being careful not to cut all the way through.
3️⃣ Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix the crumbled bacon, mozzarella, cheddar, and cream cheese until well combined.
4️⃣ Stuff the Chicken: Stuff each chicken breast with the bacon and cheese mixture, securing with toothpicks if needed.
5️⃣ Season the Chicken: Season the outside of the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
6️⃣ Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear on both sides until golden, about 4-5 minutes per side.
7️⃣ Bake the Chicken: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
8️⃣ Rest and Serve: Remove the toothpicks and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
