Ground Beef Pappardelle in Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients :

1 lb ground beef (85% lean)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

½ cup whole milk or heavy cream

Salt & black pepper to taste

12 oz pappardelle pasta

Fresh parsley & grated Parmesan (for garnish)

Directions :

Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Sauté Aromatics: Stir in onions and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

Build the Sauce: Mix in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Finish with Cream: Stir in milk or cream and let simmer another 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning.

Cook the Pasta: Boil pappardelle in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with sauce.

Serve It Up: Plate and top with Parmesan and chopped parsley.
