Garlic Butter Beef & Rice Skillet Magic!
Craving comfort food? This one-pan wonder is loaded with juicy beef, fluffy rice, and a dreamy cheddar-parmesan sauce the whole family will love!
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
2 1/4 cups beef broth (low-sodium recommended)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned and crumbled, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
Add Aromatics: Push the beef to one side of the skillet. Melt the butter on the other side, then add the garlic and onion. Sauté until fragrant and softened, about 2–3 minutes.
Season: Stir in the paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until the seasonings coat the beef evenly.
Add Rice and Broth: Pour in the uncooked rice and stir for 1 minute to toast lightly. Then add the beef broth, stir well, and bring to a gentle boil.
Simmer: Reduce heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 18–20 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
Add Cream and Cheese: Once the rice is cooked, stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan. Stir until the cheese melts and the mixture becomes creamy.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot. It’s creamy, garlicky, cheesy bliss in one pan!
