Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
A pinch of salt
1 egg
¾ cup milk
1 tbsp melted butter or oil
1½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla.
3. Gently pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined — don’t overmix; a few small lumps are fine!
4. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-low heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
5. Drop small spoonfuls of batter (about 1 tablespoon each) onto the pan.
6. Cook for about 1–2 minutes until small bubbles form and the edges begin to set.
7. Flip carefully and cook for another 30–60 seconds, until golden brown.
8. Serve warm with your favorite toppings — syrup, honey, fresh fruit, or a drizzle of chocolate.
