Deep-Fried Bacon Cheeseburger Corn Dogs

Ingredients:

– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup bread crumbs
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 cup ketchup
– 1/4 cup mustard
– 8 hot dogs
– 8 slices of American cheese
– 1 cup flour
– 1 cup cornmeal
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup milk
– Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion around a hot dog. Place a slice of American cheese on top of each hot dog. In a separate bowl, mix together the ketchup and mustard. In a deep fryer or large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F. In a bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add in the milk, stirring until a thick batter forms. Dip each assembled hot dog into the batter, making sure it is fully coated. Carefully place the corn dogs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve the deep-fried bacon cheeseburger corn dogs with the ketchup and mustard mixture for dipping. Enjoy!
