Classic Doughnuts Recipe
Soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet — these homemade doughnuts are a treat everyone will love! Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.
Ingredients
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
• 7 g active dry yeast
• 5 tablespoons sugar
• 1 cup warm milk
Instructions
1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, mix the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour and butter. Pour in the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth, soft dough forms.
3. First rise: Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. Shape the doughnuts: Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1.5 cm thickness. Cut into doughnut shapes using a cutter or a cup.
5. Second rise: Place the shaped doughnuts on a tray, cover, and let them rise again for 20–30 minutes.
6. Fry: Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the doughnuts until golden brown on both sides.
7. Finish: Drain on paper towels. Dust with sugar or glaze as desired.
Tip: You can coat them with cinnamon sugar or dip them in chocolate glaze for extra flavor!
