Chip Butty with Sausage and Egg – Luke C Styl
Ingredients:
Soft white bread roll or sandwich bread (preferably buttered)
Thick-cut chips (fries for non-UK folks), golden and crispy
Cooked sausage (sosig!) – traditional pork or your fave type
Fried egg – with a runny yolk for extra richness
Butter (optional, but highly recommended)
Optional extras: ketchup, brown sauce, or cheese if Luke C’s feeling fancy
Instructions:
1. Cook the Chips – Deep fry, oven-bake, or air-fry chunky chips until golden.
2. Fry the Sausage – Sizzle your sausage until cooked through and browned.
3. Fry the Egg – Sunny side up or over easy, but keep that yolk gooey.
4. Butter the Bread – Be generous if you want that classic butty feel.
5. Assemble – Pile on chips, sliced sausage, then top with the fried egg.
6. Sauce it Up – A squirt of ketchup or brown sauce is optional but classic.
Optional Luke C Touch: Toast the bread slightly or add grated cheese to melt over the chips before topping with the egg.
