Cajun Pasta with Shrimp and Chicken

Cajun Pasta with Shrimp and Chicken

Ingredients

8 ounces fettuccine pasta
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish

Directions

1. Go ahead and cook your fettuccine according to the package instructions. Once it’s al dente, drain and set it aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over your chicken strips, then pop them into the skillet. Cook until they’re browned and cooked through. Once done, set them aside for now.
4. In the same skillet, toss in the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté everything until softened and it smells wonderful.
5. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through.
6. Time to pour in the heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
7. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and keep stirring until you’ve got a smooth, creamy sauce.
8. Now add your cooked pasta and that tasty chicken back into the skillet. Toss it all together so everything gets nicely coated with the sauce.
9. Taste and season with a bit more salt and pepper as you like.
10. Serve it up hot, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh finish. Enjoy!
