Ingredients:

1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust

1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled and halved

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

3 tablespoons cornstarch

3 tablespoons strawberry gelatin (like Jell-O)

Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Directions:

Arrange the hulled and halved strawberries in the pre-baked pie crust, packing them evenly.

In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, water, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and turns translucent.

Remove from heat and whisk in the strawberry gelatin until fully dissolved and smooth.

Let the glaze cool slightly (about 5 minutes), then pour evenly over the strawberries in the crust.

Refrigerate the pie for at least 3–4 hours, or until completely set.

Slice and serve chilled with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
