Marinated Cucumber, Onion, and Tomato Sala
Ingredients:
2 cups cucumbers, sliced
2 cups tomatoes, chopped or cherry tomatoes halved
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Vegetables:
In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers, chopped or halved tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion.
Make the Marinade:
In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the vinegar, olive oil, sugar (if using), salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano.
Marinate the Salad:
Pour the marinade over the vegetables. Toss well to coat evenly.
Chill:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors blend. Stir occasionally.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve chilled or at room temperature.
