Ingredients:

2 lbs lean ground beef

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

½ cup beef broth

¼ cup melted butter

1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix

7 cups frozen tater tots

Directions:

Step 1: Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until it is fully browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain off any excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.

Step 2: Prepare the Creamy Mixture
Add the softened cream cheese, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, melted butter, and Italian dressing mix to the cooked beef. Stir until well combined and creamy. Let the mixture simmer on low for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the cream cheese to fully melt.

Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish. Spread the prepared beef mixture evenly across the bottom of the dish.

Step 4: Add the Tater Tots
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single, even layer over the beef mixture to ensure they cook evenly and turn crispy during baking.

Step 5: Bake the Casserole
Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy. For extra crispiness, bake for an additional few minutes. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
