A crunchy, cheesy, golden-baked chicken dish that’s pure comfort on a plate! This Crispy Cheddar Chicken is a family favorite that’s easy to make and packed with flavor. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings!

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 30 crackers), crushed

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 large eggs

2 tbsp milk

2 tbsp butter, melted

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven:

Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Duration: 5 minutes

Set up your breading station:

In one bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In another, combine crushed crackers, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread shredded cheddar on a plate or shallow dish.

Duration: 5 minutes

Coat the chicken:

Dip each chicken breast first in the egg mixture, then press into the cheddar cheese, and finally coat with the cracker crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

Duration: 10 minutes

Arrange and bake:

Place coated chicken breasts in the baking dish. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the top for extra crispiness.

Duration: 5 minutes

 

Bake to perfection:

Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temp of 165°F) and coating is golden and crispy.

Serve and enjoy:

Let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or a fresh salad.
