Warm & Sweet Blackberry Cobble
Ingredients:
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
In a bowl, toss blackberries with 1/2 cup sugar and set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Spoon sugared blackberries over the batter, do not stir.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Let cool slightly and serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
