Ground Beef Orzo With Tomato Cream Sauce

Ground Beef Orzo With Tomato Cream Sauce

Creamy Orzo with Savory Ground Beef and Tomato Delight

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 cup orzo pasta
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 cup heavy cream
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Directions:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices), heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Add the orzo pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the sauce, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Once the orzo is cooked, remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
