Crispy Mozzarella Sticks with Dips
A delightful and crunchy snack, these crispy mozzarella sticks are perfect for parties or game day, served with a creamy dip and marinara sauce for dipping.
Ingredients:
→ For the Mozzarella Sticks
1 pound mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
Vegetable or canola oil for frying (about 2-3 cups depending on your pan)

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 jar (15 ounces) marinara sauce

Additional fresh parsley, chopped

Directions:
Prepare the Cheese: Cut the mozzarella cheese into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
Set Up the Breading Station: In three separate bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, the beaten eggs mixed with milk in the second bowl, and the panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in the third bowl.
Bread the Mozzarella Sticks: Dip each mozzarella cube first into the flour, shaking off any excess, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is fully coated and set aside on a plate.
Heat the Oil: In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Mozzarella Sticks: Carefully add the breaded mozzarella sticks to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Make the Creamy Dip: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped parsley, lemon juice, minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and set aside.
