Apple Yogurt Cake – Moist & Fluffy Homemade Treat

Ingredients
• 2 eggs
• 100 g sugar
• 80 g butter (melted and cooled)
• A pinch of salt
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 125 g plain yogurt
• 180 g all-purpose flour
• 12 g baking powder
• 6 medium apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)

Instructions
1. Preheat: Set the oven to 170 °C (340 °F). Line or grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
2. Whisk the eggs & sugar: In a large bowl, beat eggs with sugar until pale and fluffy.
3. Add wet ingredients: Mix in melted butter, salt, vanilla extract, and yogurt. Stir until smooth.
4. Add dry ingredients: Sift in the flour and baking powder. Mix gently until a smooth batter forms.
5. Prepare apples: Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples. Gently fold most of them into the batter, reserving a few slices for the top.
6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Arrange the remaining apple slices on top in a circular pattern.
7. Cook: Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Cool & serve: Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
