Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 cup milk
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
7. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. Serve warm or at room temperature with your choice of optional toppings.
