Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza-Stuffed Burger .
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 burger buns
12 slices pepperoni
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and flatten into patties.
Spoon about 1 tbsp of pizza sauce into the center of each patty. Top with 2 tbsp mozzarella cheese and 1 tbsp Parmesan.
Fold and seal the patties tightly around the fillings, forming stuffed burger patties.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked (internal temp of 160°F/71°C).
While the burgers are cooking, melt the butter and mix with Italian seasoning. Brush over the inside of the buns and toast on a pan until golden.
Assemble each burger with the toasted bun, stuffed patty, extra pizza sauce, 3 slices of pepperoni, and more mozzarella if desired.
Serve hot with a side of garlic fries or salad.
